Chakra Opening 55 min Yin Yoga Practice
55m
This Chakra Opening Yin Yoga Practice is for the intermediate to advance yin yoga practitioner as the poses will be held for 4+ minutes. We will begin at the base, our root chakra and work our way up taking one yin pose for each chakra. With each chakra I will share the name, color, location, what it is related to and associated with as well as what a balanced chakra may feel/look like. To help you explore the balance of the chakra in your being, I provide an affirmation for each chakra. The purpose of and how to use affirmations is included in the video, but it never hurts to reiterate...
The purpose of an affirmation is not to convince yourself of it, but rather use the affirmation as a tool of personal exploration - notice how you feel after repeating the affirmation. If it leads to a positive feeling, there is a good chance there isn’t to much work you need to do around this chakra. If you feel a little internal resistance when you repeat the affirmation, if the affirmation is a little bit hard to hear yourself say, this might be an indication that there is something that needs to be healed and further work in this area would be beneficial... further exploration may help you along your journey. Try not to place any judgement, just observe and explore.
For this practice you will need 2 yoga blocks and any additional props to help fill the gap between you and the earth supporting a loving self-care practice. Having a journal handy may also be helpful in this exploration and opening of the charka system in your being.
