Hatha-Yin 🖤 Hamstring Love
38m
Filmed @ Kanaha Beach, Kahului, Maui.
In our second practice together we focus on opening our hamstring to increase range and flexibility. Tending to your hamstrings means we are also nurturing your low back, hips, and knees as tight hammies effect all of these areas of the body. This major group of muscles need extra love and patience on the mat. Overstretching can result in stubborn injuries that tend to last for long periods of time since our hammies rarely get any rest. So let’s make this a practice of loving kindness towards your body and the way you communicate with yourself. Maintain the practice of listening to your body, meeting your body where it is at in your practice today. Let go of any thoughts of where you want it to be and accept it in the here & now. Have your props ready! I will be using yoga blocks and a yoga strap, but have other props by your side just in case! Again, you can 100% do the practice without props.
